Join the eXcell team.Our client is currently seeking a talented Systems Administrator to join their team onsite in Miami, FL. This role will involve support and maintenance of in-house windows computer systems, appliances, and peripherals which includes provisioning, installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading Windows Operating Systems, hardware, and equipment-related infrastructure. This Administrator participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:
- Work with end users to identify and deliver required server service levels
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex server problems and recommend and implement corrective hardware and / or software solutions
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and / or e-mails regarding server and / or hardware problems
- Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations
- Liaise with third-party support and server equipment vendors
- Aid in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Manage enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure
- 4-year degree or certifications with relative experience
- Technical knowledge of Windows server operating systems, including IBM AIX and Linux
- Knowledge with virtualization technologies -VMware
- Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools
- General knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, as well as Active Directory / Global Catalogue
- Hands-on hardware and OS troubleshooting experience
- Technical knowledge of current network protocols, SAN Infrastructure, firewall management, and backup / restore solutions
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with desktops and end users
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience creating shell scripts is a plus
- Must be self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks thoroughly, efficiently, and independently in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment as well as a sole contributor
- Must have strong customer-service skills
