Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Fort Lauderdale, FL that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for sports. You will be creative, self-motivated, cross-functional, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities. You should also be a strong multi-tasker with solid time-management skills. To be successful at this job, you need to be a good team player, think outside of the box, have the ability to work in multiple languages and enjoy working in a cross-functional/DevOps culture.Day To Day responsibilities: Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers Write product or system development code Produce highly reliable and performant code with appropriate monitoring and alerting As a Senior Software Engineer, you will implement the features and user interfaces Create efficient and reusable front-end systems Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency) Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback Work in a fast-paced Agile environment; This should be second nature (TDD, SCRUM, Kanban, etc.) with evolutionary architecture and prototyping, experience with various databases and configuration/deployment/testing solutions Senior Software Engineers perform hands-on participation in team coding, developing interfaces for web applications, services, and future technology Perform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS: BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience working with code bases building micro services, REST APIs, GraphQL 5+ years of experience modeling data flows between systems to enable transactional workflows and upstream/downstream integrations 2+ years of experience building intuitive systems in JavaScript technologies such as React, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6 2+ years of experience building intuitive systems in JavaScript technologies including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6 HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases Able to analyze, debug and troubleshoot problems in the codePreferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies (AWS is preferred) Experience designing and developing highly scalable web applications Experience with full stack development, preferably in one or more of OO programming languages like, C# or Java Experience working with cross-browser behaviors and quirks Experience with Node.js (Plus) Passion for UI; Good sense of usability and design Experience working with different teams Knowledge with distributed caches (like Redis, memcache, etc.) and Pub/Sub (like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
