Job Details
  • Display and actively promote behavior aligned with organizations' health and safety and environmental sustainability policies.
  • Manage all aspects of a project for the Owner including stakeholders, scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk, procurement, changes, and communication.
  • Act as the key contact between customers and contractors, including engineering firms, vendors, and consultants.
  • Work with company partners to develop detailed scope, cost, and schedule baselines, and manage all projects in terms of these control baselines.
  • Work with partners and equipment vendors to review and ensure engineering design, equipment selections, and execution supports the project requirements.
  • Assume accountability for the delivery of all project goals.
  • Develop and resource project organization structures and ensure project teams have the required resources to be successful.
  • Provide leadership to each project and create a highly committed and aligned team environment.
  • Authorize all project expenses and approve payment invoices.
  • Ensure that the company standard suite of tools and procedures is properly deployed for each project.
  • Ensure proper governance on projects; specifically, compliance with the organization and client delegations of authority, procedures, and policies.
  • Monitor all contractual commitments to ensure that all work is being performed in accordance with the engineering documentation, terms of a contract, and client expectations.
What you need for this position:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Licensed Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Experience with project engineering and execution working with large multinational clients.
  • Degree in electrical engineering or other relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of engineering, project management, and construction experience primarily focused on infrastructure projects involving the generation of electricity or other utilities.
  • Experience in engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and/or other project-related activities.
  • Broad knowledge of North American electrical/mechanical industry standards including CSA, CEC, TSSA, ASME, etc.
