Soft Skills

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and document all aspects of the of the Linux architecture.
• Implement corrective procedures to resolve issues and minimize unplanned system outages.
• Maintain and test replication, backup and recovery procedures to insure system recoverability including disaster recovery.
• Clearly document processes and results. Develop instructions in a logical, detailed flow.
• Develop and support procedures for automating systems health check
• Understanding of system design, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, continuous integration, DevOps, REST APIs, fault tolerance and scalability.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and to work well under pressure.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Communication and collaboration skills and an ability to interface with business stakeholders and other engineers.

• Network operations and design, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
• Microservices architecture design.
• Cloud service providers, Azure is a plus
• Experience and understanding of SQL queries development, database structures.

• CentOS, Ubuntu OS
• Install, upgrade, parch, migrate and maintain OS.
• Shell scripting is strongly required.
• Custom services – create, maintain
• Kiosk mode
• Performance and functional issues
• disks and file system configuration
• Clonezilla or similar tools
• Chef/Ansible knowledge it desired.
• Jira, Confluence
• CI/CD tools, TeamCity knowledge is a plus.
• Branching, Merging, Tagging, and maintaining versions across the environments using SCM tools like svn and git.
• Docker components like Docker Engine, Docker Machine, Docker Compose and Docker Registry
• Virtualization: VMWare ESXi
• python knowledge is a plus
