RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client seeking a Database Admin in Miramar, FL.Responsibilities: Database Admin oversees daily operations of production, non-production and redundant database environments on the cloud and on-premises implementations Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management and monitors transaction activity and utilization Reviews database design and integration of systems and makes recommendations regarding enhancement and/or improvements Develops, manages, and tests back-up and recovery plans ensuring that all procedures are functioning properly As a Database Admin, you will maintain security and integrity controls over the databases Contributes to the development of a strategy for use of relational databases technology Advises organization leaders on database concepts and functional capabilities and recommends system changes to programming staffREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a computer related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) or more years of experience in related field; Or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience Database Certification (Postgres or Oracle) preferred Skill in AWS Glue and AWS Database Migration Service Skill in SQL and open file format queries Skill in Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora for PostgreSQL administration tasks Skill in Amazon Redshift data warehouse deployment and administration Skill in AWS Lake Formation, data lake deployments and administration Knowledge of Oracle basic administration Ability to organize work for timely completion Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Skill in Microsoft Office applications Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Ability to commute with personal transportationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
