The Data Analyst will become proficient in configuration and operation of the Enterprise Data Governance Platform and assist data stewards in managing their data assets’ quality and metadata. Additionally, the analyst will assist with information gathering and reporting to satisfy audit and regulatory requests when related to Data.

  • This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment, within the scope of the individual’s authority, with respect to matters of significance to the Bank.
  • Hold regular meetings with data consumers to identify and address data issues and discuss improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the development and validation of data quality reports delivered to subscribed stakeholders
  • Monitor and report data quality deviations and gather information to assist with root cause identification
  • Work with data users/owners on the development, testing, and maintenance of preventative and reactive quality controls
  • Work with Enterprise Data Governance software vendor to address platform-related issues
  • Understand and promote compliance with Data Management policies
  • Monitor assigned DQ dashboards, address anomalies and make improvements as required to maintain efficacy
  • Acquire and maintain expert level knowledge of Data Governance software’s capabilities and apply as needed
  • Support regular Data Governance software configuration improvements to maximize Data Management program output

Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent work
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.

Work Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years in technical work within any of the following areas: IT, data analytics, data governance, data stewardship, business analysis, business process improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with enterprise-wide data-driven initiatives, projects, and common tools.
Experience with medium-level data manipulation tools and techniques(Excel, SQL, Access, Power BI).
  • Understanding of the mortgage servicing/originations and deposits industry is desired.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for dynamic, professional, and respectful environments.
  • Ability to work efficiently and seamlessly within the technical and business domains.
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management disciplines.
  • Work to tight deadlines, enjoy learning new skills and strive on challenging workloads.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities and time constraints.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by taking ownership in a fast-paced environment adopting a value/risk based approach.
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based environments.
  • Experience creating data visualizations, process flows, and other types supporting effective communications.
  • An innovative, creative approach to data discovery and problem solving.
