Sr. Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist - HYBRID

ASD is looking for a

• Update Domestic Mail Manual (DMM) and International Mail Manual (IMM) in accordance with standards and regulations
• Review current source document for the Domestic Mail Manual (DMM) and International Mail Manual (IMM) remove all formatting, macros, tagging, and coding.
• Compose, design and layout publications, particularly the DMM, IMM and Quick Service Guides (QSGs) using
  Adobe Framemaker and Adobe Illustrator. Apply new formatting, styles, and coding as specified by the Postal Service.
• Produce monthly DMM, IMM and QSGs in PDF and HTML format to be posted on the Postal Explorer website. Output 508-compliant HTML files using WebWorks publisher.
• Document SOP (including style guides) for producing the DMM, IMM and QSGs.
• Support other initiatives as assigned.

• Must have strong experience with FrameMaker and HTML to produce finished product in hardcopy and web formats
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Strive to improve the quality of both output and process

• Strong attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or English is preferred -
• Minimum of 10 years' work history with a minimum of 8 years of professional relevant editing experience

• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – or Permanent Resident ()
