Chemours is seeking an Agile Scrum Master to join our new Digital, Data, & Analytics team! The position will report directly to the Agile Transformation Office Leader and work closely with cross functional scrum teams to accelerate value delivery through the application of Agile to a portfolio of Chemours Digital, Data, & Analytics team initiatives. The initial focus of this role will be to accelerate initiatives in our New Product Development, Corporate Responsibility, Environmental Health & Safety, and business functions. Applicants who possess strong agile background and experience leading design thinking workshops to challenge assumptions and identify alternative strategies and solutions will be considered. We are looking for someone who is energetic and passionate and help to lead and coach our teams to accelerate discovery and delivery of initiatives.

The Chemours Digital, Data, & Analytics team is made up of approximately 50 employees that partner with colleagues across all functions to enable business strategy, improve customer experience, and drive safety, productivity, and efficiency. The team leverages its highly trained and diverse staff of business process analysts, data scientists, architects & specialists, process engineers, and agile scrum leads to collaborate in these cross functional settings to drive initiatives using agile methodology.

For this role, Chemours is seeking a knowledgeable agile practitioner to fulfill the role of scrum master (leader) on these teams to drive high performing and healthy agile teams.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert in agile methodology acting as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to other initiatives.

  • Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality solutions to our internal stakeholders through both formal training and informal coaching.

  • Responsible to get the team to a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques

  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and methods

  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional collaboration, and team ownership mindset. communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team

  • Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and to drive team performance.

  • Experienced in Design Thinking methods or leading brainstorming workshops to challenge assumptions and redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative strategies and solutions.

  • Resolves team impediments in order to drive effectiveness of scrum teams

  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization by collaborating with other agile coaches both internal and external to the transformation office

  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective

  • Works with leaders to ensure the capability and skillsets of the team are adequate to achieve business goals, targets.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master on Agile Teams, and a minimum of 5 years work experience overall in a professional setting.

  • Self-motivated, self-starter individual that exhibits leadership qualities capable of triaging organizational issues and conflict.

  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, problem solving and coaching skills

  • Adept at implementing agile Scrum techniques such as managing a backlog, story definition, monitoring team performance and efficiency ,sprint review & retrospection, and other agile techniques.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Teams

  • Experience working with project tracking or agile tools to ensure efficient execution

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Experience working in global, virtual teams in particular virtual agile teams

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, and other Agile management tools

  • Experience with team agile execution within a manufacturing or service industry

  • Experience leading design thinking or brainstorming sessions.

  • Scrum Master Certification

  • Experience using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft PowerApp/Power Automate, Alteryx, Python.

  • Experience as agile scrum lead in manufacturing setting, process optimizations/automations, or major data projects.
