Job DetailsFPGA or Firmware Engineer w/ VHDLMust live in or around Denver or Ft Collins or willing to relocate (HYBRID work schedule)Participates in all phases of the FPGA development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of all productsApplies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of digital design/architecture for the target applicationIndependently performs advanced digital architecture and designWorks with Systems Engineers and Program Management to decompose system level requirementsSupports technical reviews and presents both internally and externally to customersWorks closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall systemDevelops estimates for complex task duration, supporting the development of a project schedule and budgetExperience working with control laws, controller development, or controller tuningDevelops Testbench procedures, Testbench scripting programs, and related documentationContributes to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of development efforts to ensure development work performed meets program cost, schedule, and technical constraints.Implement assigned projects and project tasks to provide software engineering solutions including software design, documentation, verification and validation, used in evaluating, testing and processing high fidelity data acquisition systemsPerform technical review, design analysis, development and selection of hardware and mission critical computer software Should have some of the followingCircuit design, documentation and implementation of high-speed digital electronics, FPGAs, and embedded processor systemsStrong understanding of synchronous design practices and data flow management (FIFOs, memories, pipelining)Experience in signal and power integrity analysis of digital/FPGA designsXilinx and SoCs, Including FPGA tool suites such as Vivado and ISEExperience in developing specifications, and resource requirements for digital/FPGA designsI2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR3/4, etc.with C/C and PythonInterested in hearing more?
