Data Architect (Teradata)

CEI’s Fortune 30 Client in Media and Telecommunications is looking for a Data Architect to add to their team. This candidate will be responsible for designing and building relational databases for data storage or processing. Job at a glance:

• Long term contract with potential for extension and/or permanent placement
• Starting at $65/hr W2 + optional benefits
• Hybrid position based in Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery
• Clean and maintain the database by removing and deleting old data
• Manage production objects in change control environment
• Develop proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance
• Perform system level and application-level tuning
• Perform backup and recovery operations
• Support production, DR processes and end-user queries
• Administer database security
• Research performance trends and project future capacity needs
• Attend bi-weekly calls with divisional teams and address concerns
• Lead the customer experience - think and act in ways that puts the customers first, give them seamless digital options at every touchpoint, and make them promoters of our products and services

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of related experience
• Experienced with Teradata, SQL, MySQL, and Oracle
• Collaboration with development teams experienced with these newer technologies and give presentations
