Must Have 2+ Years of Big 4 Financial Statement Auditing Experience - NOT AssuranceMust Have Active CPA We are seeking a Rockstar Senior Accountant, who will be responsible for the month-end close and reconciliations, as well as working with the Senior Director of Finance on streamlining the month-end close process and daily accounting operations. We also recently implemented NetSuite and JDA (warehouse management system) and would love someone who either has some system implementation experience or is excited to learn more about it!We are looking for a team-player, who is analytical, a problem-solver, inquisitive, eager to learn, believes in constant improvement (of systems, processes, and themselves), and has a genuine passion for helping restaurants and small businesses succeed!What You'll Do:
  • Book all month-end close entries, with the exception of inventory and COGS. This includes any adjustments to cash, revenue, prepaid amortization, accruals, depreciation, and payroll entries
  • Perform all balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile revenue to cash receipts
  • Work with various departments on budget-to-actual variance analysis
  • Work with Sr. Director of Finance and budget owners on quarterly reforecasts
  • Work with Sr. Director of Finance on developing the financial reporting package, as well as ensure timely reporting of monthly financial results
  • Support system, process and control environment enhancements to optimize the accounting and finance function (e.g., automation, integrations, etc.)
  • Ensure sales and use tax returns are filed timely
  • Prepare audit schedules and be actively involved in the annual audits
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned
You have/are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis
  • 3 - 5 years of accounting experience; combination of public and industry experience a plus
  • Big 4 accounting experience required
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent technical accounting skills with a strong understanding of GAAP
  • Strong work ethic
  • CPA a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
