We are currently looking for an entry-level Software Engineer to be the supportive force that empowers our team at our Valencia, CA office.Please note: this is a HYBRID position.This position requires superior organization and prioritization abilities. The ideal person for the job will be a proactive problem solver using modern development practices and the latest technology stack with exceptional communication skills. We rely on our associates for both flexibility and foresight while maintaining confidence related to high-level systems and operations. GOALS:
- The core purpose of this position is to develop the next generation of PDC software solutions in Healthcare and identification.
- Solve complex problems, working with new development frameworks/cloud-based technologies and pushing the envelope on existing technologies.
- Work within a small focused agile team to develop applications and platform features.
- Ability to develop solutions using best practices of software development
- Adjust priorities and deliver business value as part of a scrum team
- Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems
- Analyze monitoring and system performance data and provide improvement recommendations to product and system owners
- Provide monitoring support and troubleshooting for all tier-one customer-facing services
- Communicate accurate project status to management, including risk, estimates, impediments

- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of professional software development experience.
- Ability to diagnose and debug issues within development environments and customer solutions.
- Experience in one or more of the following languages: C#, .NET, and Javascript frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
- Experience implementing Web Services using REST, as well as using existing Web services.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience developing Progressive Web Apps and other mobile responsive front-end web components using React Javascript framework
- Understanding or working knowledge of database systems (SQL, GraphQL, Cosmos, etc.)
- Experience with version control & continuous integration systems (e.g. Jenkins, TFS, Git)
- Knowledge of HL7 and FHIR protocols.
- Experience working with 3rd party devices (printers and barcode scanners)
- Experience developing mobile applications (iOS and Android) leveraging React native and Xamarin.
- Experience in system programming with an emphasis on multithreading / asynchronous programming, process/memory management, and socket / IO programming.
