A bit about us:Responsibilities

• Design, implement and administrate IT operations infrastructure.
• Perform routine systems maintenance and on-call assignments.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge and skills to support the variety of hardware and software in use in the company.
• Ensure that stakeholders are continually kept up to date on progress toward a resolution.
• Develop and implement temporary solutions to be used if immediate resolution is not feasible.
• Initiate contact with hardware and software vendors as necessary to resolve problems.
• Understand the urgency of the problem and the potential impact on critical business systems and customers.
• Use structured and systematic approach to gather information and identify cause of problem.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system problems.
• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure systems.
• Work with internal and external resources as needed to resolve issues.
• In collaboration with the cybersecurity team and other IT and Business teams, evaluate and implement new systems and applications.
• Develop and execute procedures for optimizing system performance and capacity.
• Lead or participate in implementation of departmental system projects

Minimum Job Requirements

• BA or BS degree in a related field and 7 years' experience or ten years' experience with design, support and troubleshooting infrastructure-related systems.
• Proficiency in PowerShell.
• Familiarity with a load balancing platform (e.g., Kemp) and associated concepts.
• Experience with on-premises Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, and Windows Servers.
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 components (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
• Experience with Azure infrastructure services (PaaS, VMs & VDI, networking, Monitor, Storage Accounts, Resource Manager, Automation)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Job DetailsUnder minimal supervision, the Systems Engineer II will design and manage on-premises and Azure cloud-based technology systems. Responsible for administration of our infrastructure including networks, servers (physical and virtual), virtualization technologies, backups, storage, and other infrastructure support systems such as DNS, DHCP and Active Directory. Activities include design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and systems security. Responsible for capacity planning, tuning, and system monitoring. Responsible for system performance and problem resolution across all aspects of the infrastructure.
