Job DetailsThe successful candidate will design and execute cell-free protein synthesis experiments and develop new methods/techniques as needed. Two major foci of the position will be expanding the biochemical understanding of XpressCF and improving process performance for both titer and product quality. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to make presentations to internal teams and senior management and to author internal and external publications.The ideal candidate will have the following background/skill set:Ph.D. with 2 to 5 years of industry experience or M.S./B.S. with 7 to 10 years of experience in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.Experience with the following is required:Laboratory scale process equipment, especially bioreactors for microbial and/or mammalian culture.Bioprocess development (cell-free, microbial, and/or mammalian cell-based).Experience with the following is preferred:Cell-free protein synthesis.Spray drying macromolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, and/or liposomes).Metabolite/biochemical assays (HPLC and/or microtiter plate based).Design of Experiments.cGMP bioprocessing.Interested in hearing more?
