The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, self-driven and motivated Software QA Lead/QA Architect to lead Quality Engineering efforts in our Production Loan Processing software engineering teams and related initiatives. The teams involved in Production Loan Processing are key to our customer and broker direct mortgage lending operations and overall business strategy. The client team is looking to deliver on initiatives which are designed to better streamline the loan process and add to our industry leading position in the lending, purchasing, and servicing of home loans. The Software QA lead/QA Architect is a key position within the organization. Your goal is to design, develop, deliver industry leading testing technology, processes and solutions. Our selection process will emphasize technical SDLC and product testing skills as well as leadership and process skills equally. The ideal candidate must be a master of their domain in Quality Engineering with some past experience in software development. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who is equally comfortable leading by influence or authority.

Responsibilities:

What will you do?

• Be a champion for the Quality Engineering discipline including: procedures and development and maintenance of automated test scripts using python or JavaScript frameworks or applicable development language
• Provide high level strategy and vision to the Agile product development teams and stakeholders
• Interact with the workstream to ensure coverage of product features using Test Automation
• Provide leadership from a Quality Best Practices perspective across scrum teams
• Work with the development and functionally adjacent teams to establish test cases & coverage and product deliverable components
• Create logically structured test plans, design detailed test cases, file defects, test reports
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand customer's needs, focus on important features of the application, database use and have an "automate everything mind set
• Provide mentoring / guidance to scrum team members and other Quality Assurance members
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

What will you bring?

• 7+ years of experience working in Quality Engineering,with the 3+ years recent experience working in an agile environment
• Strong passion for quality, high level of attention to detail, and the proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of Web Technologies (CSS, HTML, HTTP)
• Strong understanding of Test Automation frameworks using Python/JavaScript (Required)
• Strong understanding of SQL database, ability to write SQL queries (PostgreSQL or SQL Server)
• Experience testing, debugging REST APIs with Postman and automating API Testing
• Understanding of Quality Best Practices in an agile development organization
• Experience using JIRA & Zephyr or equivalent tools
• Experience with Gitlab CI or any other CI/CD tools
• Financial Services/Mortgage industry experience preferred
• Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
• Familiar with GraphQL
• Familiar with Sauce Labs and JMeter/Blazemeter (performance testing)
• Familiar testing AWS services: Lambdas, S3, Snowflake, DynamoDB, Step Functions, CloudWatch
• A passion for learning, continuous improvement, sharing, and working in a team environment
