Environmental Health and Safety Engineer- hybrid role must be able to come to the site 1-2 days a week as needed. Job Description: This is an EHS Engineer position. In this position you will work with Intel's leading research and design teams to ensure that the equipment and facilities being designed and operated at Intel are compliant with regulatory and industry standards. Your responsibilities will include interpreting and understanding regulations and standards, communicating effectively with engineers and technicians, auditing facilities and recordkeeping. You will also collaborate with Intel EHS peers from around the world to promote standardization of processes. As an EHS Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Partner with Intel's Corporate Services organization and Intel Research, Development, Sales and Marketing (RDSM) business groups globally to ensure alignment to Intel's EHS standards and promote standardization, continuous improvement, and learnings sharing. Interpret, understand, and apply applicable regulations and standards to in-scope sites. Drive EHS compliance at Intel sites across the California Bay Area with a focus on environmental compliance. Drive EHS compliance at select Intel remote sites across AMR and LAR. Support new site start-up through the development and implementation of new EHS programs, and site shutdown when needed. Establish and maintain EHS programs at home site and at remotely supported Intel sites. Periodically audit site operations, establish and drive closure of corrective action plans, and share audit learnings with Intel EHS community. Maintain EHS recordkeeping according to regulation and Intel-specific expectations. Drive compliance across all aspects of Intel RDSM operations, including sustaining, construction, mergers and acquisitions, and special projects. Provide EHS expertise during emergency events. Partner with local authorities/government agencies as needed. The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to continuous learning and development. Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience. Minimum Qualifications: - The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in any field of Engineering, or relevant science applicable to the Environmental, Health, and Safety profession, plus 5+ years of experience managing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. Preferred Qualifications: Regulatory experience with California EPA, Federal EPA, NIOSH, ACGIH, Federal OSHA, and other standards applicable to semiconductor manufacturing, research, and development. 5+ years of experience in the application of sound engineering principles and technical problem-solving. 5+ years of experience in communicating technical EHS requirements in an accurate, clear, and streamlined manner. Demonstrated expertise in creating internal reports, presentations, data analysis etc.
