Job DetailsWe are looking for an experienced Engineering manager to lead our Platform team. The team is responsible for the platform and APIs that power dozens of partner integrations, thousands of custom workflows, and millions of API requests per day. Their charter is to build the next generation of our APIs and integration frameworks that our partner developers and customers rely on for everything from AI-powered chatbots to CRM integrations to automated message routing. This work is at the foundation of our mission to empower businesses to provide tailor-made service at scale. To be successful in this role, you will help build out the team by attracting and hiring talented engineers, manage the existing team of talented engineers to deliver on an ambitious roadmap, guide the team through technical decisions, and obsess about making the team and their processes scale efficiently. This is a collaborative role where you will interface with other engineering managers in different locations.What will you be doing?Drive and deliver on our product roadmap, working with your team to turn 1-pager specs into featuresGrow your teams by coaching and developing engineers and by attracting and hiring top talentObsess about the architectural design, implementation, and quality of the work your team producesPartner cross-functionally with Product and Design to innovate and execute on product features that encourage accelerated adoption of FrontContribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Front's engineering management teamWhat skills and experience do you need?Engineering management experience that includes effectively recruiting, mentoring, and retaining great peopleStrong track record of running teams that deliver projects of significant complexity and high levels of ambiguityA strong product mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, low-ego, and high-growth environment; you work well with all kinds of personalities and with teams across multiple geographiesClear, structured thinking and excellent communication skillsUnderstand the trade-offs in employing different engineering solutions to a problem, valuing pragmatism over idealismBonusExperience working on platform and developer APIsExperience working with complex data models at scaleInterested in hearing more?
