Job DetailsSUMMARYMaintains, troubleshoots and repairs Controls, PLCs and Instrumentation for Burner Management & Control Systems, manufacturing equipment, buildings, grounds and utility systems by performing the following duties personally and through coordination of department employees when assistance is needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInspects and makes tests, consults wiring diagrams and manuals to determine material or replacement needs according to specificationsPlans general working procedure, determining tools and material requirements for equipment repairsLocates source of trouble in any type of electrical equipment, apparatus, instrument or controller by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for mechanical failure or programming faults and makes the appropriate repairs or adjustmentsDismantles, inspects, repairs, replaces or adjusts faulty parts and wiring on electrical equipment, instruments and controlsRewires, tunes, changes PID settings and programming adjustments to obtain proper operating characteristicsMakes mechanical repairs and fabricates parts as required to equipment being servicedPerforms a regular routine of test and calibrations, set ups and adjustments on any type of combustion system and instrumentation equipment for optimum performance and regulatory complianceAnalyzes all types of instrumentation drawings, combustion drawings, systems piping and wiring diagrams, charts and graphsDevelops and modifies PLC & HMI ProgrammingDesigns and drafts electrical, P&ID schematics (AutoCadLT)Troubleshoots electrical distribution systemsConfers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.Assist in future automation projects and makes suggestions for plant improvementsQUALIFICATIONSBS Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Technology and 5 years of related Electrical and Instrumentation/Controls experience in an industrial facilityExtensive knowledge of PLC programmingConsiderable experience in the electrical and equipment controls framework of industrial facilities ovens/furnaces, and other processing equipment.Interested in hearing more?
