We are looking for an active participant on the Joy Signal Technology Sales Team. The Customer and Sales Support Manager is the key interface to outside sales and our customers, responsible to forecast and manage demand, enter orders, and communicate fulfillment. The role also oversees the process of incoming RFQ’s and to provide full support to outside sales for new business opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Act as the principal contact at Joy Signal Technology to Customers and outside sales staff for purchase orders and updates, quotes, samples, information, first-article requirements.

Process and effectively manage new relationships and act as the voice for the customer

Lead the demand forecasting process for our planning cycle and publish quarterly updates.

Track, analyze and publish sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics

Investigate and resolve nonroutine customer problems, including major “request vs. promise” date variations, shipping delays, and rejections

Lead and manage the quote process to assure timely and accurate response

Commit to and apprise Customers of order status, delivery dates and shipment methods, as well as missed shipment dates, when necessary

Gather all necessary information to enter and process Customer purchase orders

Reinforce company’s values, mission statement and quality policy

Support, motivate, and develop department employees as the company continues to grow

Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be developed for this position, or otherwise assigned

Key Skills/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or business administration

7+ years in customer and sales support within a manufacturing company

Experience in the sales and order cycle for custom electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical products

Be able to work effectively and efficiently in a high paced environment

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Exceptional leadership ability both cross functionally and with direct reports

Excellent telephone skills (poise, effectiveness, etiquette, voice quality)

Knowledge and experience in internal CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database and quote management procedures

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) to facilitate completion of most correspondence between organizational units and Customers

Knowledge in ISO/Reach/ITAR a plus
