The successful candidate will develop new business and grow sales revenue in a customer-facing role.Job DetailsDescription: The primary responsibility of the Business Development Associate is to generate leads and increase sales by identifying new opportunities for our range of products. The ideal candidate should have a passion for science and networking. Additionally, qualified candidates should be driven by results, and enjoy making an impact. Due to the technical nature of Pangea Laboratory products, the ideal Business Development Associate candidate must have a life sciences background (education/work experience) to ensure effective product and service knowledge and engaging and productive conversations with potential customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a deep understanding of, promote and evangelize Pangea Laboratory's range of diagnostic products and services Work with the marketing team to identify and engage prospects across the right channels and take advantage of emerging opportunities. Develop and implement effective solutions to retain and upgrade existing clientele. Engage with prospective and existing customers via phone and email daily, whether through providing sample/trial kits or providing high level technical answers to questions they may have Coordinate sales with different departments such as technical support, and customer service. Maintain internal databases (NetSuite CRM, Email) with prospective client information. Generate, prepare, and present professional and accurate sales reports. Provide prospect and customer feedback to research teams to assist in future innovation, forecast future needs, and optimize the customer experience. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in life sciences (biology, biochemistry, microbiology, cell biology, etc.). 1-3 years account management and/or sales work experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving and organizational skills (verbal and written). Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with CRM/Salesforce. Ability to travel potentially 5-10% of the time.Interested in hearing more?
