RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing Medical Device Company is seeking a Remote Software Engineer with signal processing algorithm development experience. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this exclusive search assignment. This position is 100% Remote. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and stock. They will be focused on developing signal processing modules to extract and decipher complex cardiac signals and other related physiological parameters. This set of inputs are measured over a 3D space and as such leads to 3D reconstruction of information, similar to imaging systems like CT, ultrasound. The effort in the project involves the need to create a highly efficient solution within a high-end computing environment. You will work along scientists and lead the effort in all relevant areas of signal processing within the system.Responsibilities of a Software Engineer - R&D: Create signal processing algorithms for high throughput data in a high core count PC/GPU Receive and transmit data from multiple hardware systems Extract physiologically relevant information from the signals and display cohesively over 3D space In collaboration with the team, develop and implement 3D computational methods Help with developing sensor devices and corresponding technology from the perspective of signal and algorithm needs The system will operate in real time as expected in Cardiac electrophysiology (100 mSec latency allowed) Develop the application in a Windows environment in C/CREQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, with 3-5+ years of experience Should have sound knowledge about the general concepts of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics Previous experience of developing of multichannel signal processing software Knowledge of WPF, DirectX is a plus but not required Working knowledge of digital filtering, linear algebra Fluent in C/C development tools such as MATLAB or Python are preferred Should possess good interpersonal and writing abilities Should be able to think critically with the use of logical reasoning Must be proficient in making the right decisions and assessment related to the advantages and disadvantages involved in the biomechanical procedures Have the capability to manage the resources and time allotted in an efficient mannerNice to Have: Experience in actual medical device development is a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
